A Little bit about me

My passion for studying the Scriptures began with a single college course on the Gospel of John, where I first saw how historical context and critical thinking could strengthen—rather than threaten—my faith. That class sparked a lifelong commitment to studying God’s Word and to helping others grow in their biblical understanding, theological depth, and cultural discernment.

Over the past 15 years, I have served in church planting, pastoral leadership, academics, and action sports ministry. I hold a BA in Biblical Studies, two master’s degrees in New Testament Studies, and am currently pursuing a PhD in New Testament Studies.

I am the host of The Ryley Heppner Podcast, where I interview scholars, authors, and artists to explore the intersection of Scripture, theology, and culture in everyday life.

I also serve as an adjunct speaker with Apologetics Canada, addressing topics such as biblical reliability, discipleship, and navigating faith in a post-Christian world.
